Bunny Bait

Warning!  This popcorn should be called Crack Popcorn because once you try it you are hooked!  Saw this recipe at Bloom Designs in which she cutely calls it Bunny Bait for Easter.  The great thing is you can make it for any holiday because the lovely makers of M & M's make holiday themed colored M & M's.  Red and green for Christmas, pink and white for Valentine's Day, Green for St. Patrick's Day, etc.  Isn't that great?  Here is what you need:

2 bags of Orville Redenbacher's Tender White Popcorn
1 bag of Wilton Candy Melts
1 bag of M & M's
2 C pretzel sticks (optional)

Pop the two bags of popcorn and put in a LARGE bowl.  Place the Wilton Candy Melts in a bowl and microwave at 50% power for 1 minute.  Remove and stir.  Continue to microwave in 30 second intervals and stir until the candy has melted.  Pour over popcorn and stir together.  Add bag of M & M's and 2 cups pretzels and stir until coated.  Spread popcorn onto cookie sheets or wax paper and allow to dry about 30 minutes.  You can put in individual bags to hand out as a treat or store covered in a large bowl.

Teri's Tips:
  • Wilson Candy Melts can be found at Michael's Craft Store, Hobby Lobby or Walmart.  Usually located with the party and baking supplies.
  • The popcorn is sold in packages of 6 so go ahead and by 3 Wilson Candy Melts and 3 bags of M&M's and save yourself a trip.
  • You can add sprinkles and make this extra pretty.

One last look
